Milan Show - Aprilia Bikes & Concepts

#1 Post by D-Rider » Tue Nov 06, 2007 6:29 pm

Aprilia are showing a number of new bikes in Milan.

There's the Dorsuduro Super Motard .... with a swingarm that has echoes of a Falco Frame !

There's a 1200cc Concept with Hossack style front end, carbon frame with integral airbox and a claimed weight of just 160kg.

ffs, if any more people make specials based on aprilias (AND with hossack front ends) i dont think i'll bother, they'll be common as muck :smt002

Although I'm starting to like the lights-fitted-onto-forks-to-make-it-a-lower-front look

Here's the bike below and the really nice concept bike as well

Just back from the Milan show, and what a show! Completely different to the traditional UK NEC job in that it is 99% trade based. Almost impossible to spend any money!!

No one selling cheap leathers or any old 2005 / 2006 old tat, just hundreds of exhibitors spread over 6 halls, it took us 6 hrs non stop just to get round it all.

However................. on to the important stuff! Both these bikes and the new 1200 shiver (sorry no pics) were absolutely superb in the flesh (so to speak) the build quality looked amazing. The new 08 Tuono was there as well, the blue colour scheme gets a blue surround to the nose fairing but nothing elase as far a I could see. However the new white & silver colour scheme was superb though. Oh and a quick pic of the new V4 motor for the 2009 WSB racer (the bike wasn't there though, real shame, however neither was the new Desmosedici RR)

Yep - think you're right - got it on my calendar at work as I had been hoping to combine it with another meeting - which has now moved to Barcelona in December ...... Don't think I'll be able to justify a special trip for it though.

2009 DATES CONFIRMED

#13 Post by Nooj » Fri Feb 20, 2009 6:21 pm

November 12th -15th 2009. Trade stand applications are out already, no sign of advanced tickets that I can see, but I've joined the mailing list so hopefully they'll let me know when they go on sale.
