New BikeFestUk event
The days of static motorcycle shows where visitors are allowed to look at, but not ride, all the latest machinery are well and truly over. BikeFestUK is the event everyone’s been waiting for, and it’s set to revolutionise the market, and kick-start the 2007 bike season in a haze of bikes, noise, speed, and adrenaline.
BikeFestUK is the UK’s most interactive motorcycle event, celebrating all that is great about motorcycling, and giving visitors the chance to ride both on track, off road, and on road, on a variety of 2007 model bikes.
Hosted at the home of the British round of the MotoGP championship, Donington Park, BikeFestUK takes place on the 26th of May 2007, and promises to be a phenomenal event. It’s all about getting on bikes and riding, and everyone who comes along will be encouraged to take part and celebrate what makes motorcycling so exhilarating, whether it's on or off road. You can ride your own bike (or selected manufacturers’) on the world-famous Donington Park circuit, view manufacturers' displays, meet race stars, go on demonstrator rideouts, watch stunt displays, ride off-road bikes, and buy everything bike-related from clothing and accessories to a new or used bike.
The event will be an action-packed day out for all the family and everyone is encouraged to come along whether they are seasoned bikers or complete novices – there’ll be plenty to get involved with for visitors of all ages and abilities.
BikeFestUK is organised by special-interest media company Future, home of Fast Bikes magazine, and popular car mags Fast Car and Redline. Every year tens of thousands of car fans visit Future’s action packed car shows including Trax and Japfest, and BikeFestUK is set to follow in their wheel tracks.

BikeFest 26/05/07 and kick-start the 2007 bike season in a haze of bikes, noise, speed, and adrenaline.
Its the middle of the year ffs, so surely the above are incompatible.

I hate it when people ask if you have a bathroom, I want to say "No we pee in the garden"

makes perfect sense to me.
Gio, it is really the start of the biking season for the i'd hasten to say, pleasure riders ..
Why hold an inteactive event for novices and experienced blokes and blokesses when it's
a. pissing down with rain in April
b. Snowing and sleety in Jan, Feb, March?
Remembering winter has knocked on a bit now thru climatic change, May is the new season start for many.
Stop!!!
Yes I know many ride through the winter, Ive done it, youve done it, loads have. Yes they ride thru the rain, etc, but this is about seasonal riders, not those who dont apply a season to their riding..
Horse. High. Gerroffit!!

Never ride faster than your guardian angel can fly
Saw a bad off this morning, bloke wearing leathers
and its peeing down with rain, turned into a bed and lost the bike when he ran over a manhole cover full of water, he was thrown straight up in the air and his bike wrapped itself around a fixed barrier.
Methinks the council should be held responsible as they'd just relaid the road there without raising the level of the manhole
He said he was taking it in for servicing as he normally had to wait weeks during the spring before he could ride it normally.

I've stuck an arrow on it.
He was badly shaken and had a swollen arm at the shoulder (not broken I think, but very painful) The bike was a lot worse
