Mille cans?
I know this is probably a stupid question but I have only just discovered the wonders of Aprilia and I just have to ask it, Will aftermarket exhaust cans for a Mille / RSV fit a Falco, if not would they fit with a small amount of modification?
I am guessing that the cans themselves are pretty much the same due to the similar engines and it would just be a case of the link pipes being the right shape to fit onto the bike.
I only ask because there seem to be a plethera of exhausts on everyone's favourite online auction site to fit the RSV or Tuono but very little for the Falco

Racing is life - anything before or after is just waiting.

OK ... the Falco has twin exhausts but the earlier (most similar) Mille has a single can. You can fit the entire Mille system to the Falco but it requires some work. Usually change to Mille swinger (if not, you have to modify the pipework), change the Falco oil tank to the mille oil tank to clear the exhaust and often change to the Mille oil cooler (Falco one can be used with different oil pipes). If you have a Skidmarx Bellypan it gets a bit more complicated .... I can explain if you need to know.
The later RSVs are twin pipe but I'm not sure whether they are of the same bore and can clamp on to the Falco headers. The later Mille headers do not fit the Falco - the Falco and early mille have 3 bolt fixings, the later RSV has 4 bolt fixings to the cylinder head.
Hope this helps a bit.

Yep - you're right - I was watching the prices on their website last year and there were some good discounts ... but not quite as good as the price I paid at the NEC showAladinsaneuk wrote:I think you will find that at the begining of december that fuel will have a pre xmas sale - they did last year and I picked up mine for a fair few quid than they should have been.....
oh - and I rate the fuel cans as well :)

They look really well made and the company are a pleasure to deal with.
Can't tell you how well they work as my (single) can is still in its box waiting for me to fit the exhaust system ... which is waiting for me to fit the mille swinger and mod the falco oil tank ....

I guess that's the problem with having to build up a scooter for one of my lads (and then fix it without the mrs finding out when he fell off) and sorting out the old CB125 one of my other sons has bought (still not completed).
Not enough time .....
