..... where's our quiz?
Gio, 7th Aug wrote:Maybe its time to go back and have a weekly quiz.
Kwackerz, 7th Aug wrote:A fine idea, Pete!

I quite like the idea. I used to find I learnt lots from them. Someone'd put up an interesting looking bike and you'd either pick up l;oads of interesting stuff along the way on a search for it, or come the end when it was found, there was usually some interesting history behind it!
Gio, 7th Aug wrote:Exactly.

10 or 20 questions?

Need to be tough but with a hint as to what they could be ie 1st bike with an overhead camshaft etc.
Kwackerz, 7th Aug wrote:Hehe.. I dunno.. 20?

I'll let you do the first weekly competition, seeing as you sugested it!!
Gio, 7th Aug wrote: ta

Kwackerz, 7th Aug wrote:Yup, you stick it up on a friday when yer ready, answers to follow the following friday.

Gio, 13th Aug wrote:BTW quiz this Friday.

It'll be quite difficult as it seems there's a few experts on this site now
Kwackerz, 13th Aug wrote:Look forward to the quiz! should be good!

I've only got halfway through it :smt010 as I've not been too grand the last 2 or 3 days (stomach cramps, shits etc). So you'll have to excuse me .

BTW Tim I haven't forgotten about your bike seat.

Well I'm sorry to say I haven't completed it, mostly cos I haven't been well and also cos I've been working at our shop (one staff short) and trying to get the bike working.

However the bike is almost complete (fecking bellypan doesn't fit), so I fitted the stock bottom bit to the bike and went for a ride. Only lasted 1 hour but she seems to be better with 2 cans than 1, certainly sounds better and on the M25 with its sound boards it was real echoey :smt003 .

So it'll have to wait until next Friday (sorry :smt012 ). It ewill however be a real test of your brainpower. :smt081

An hour is much more than just a pootle... :smt002

Well it was just a pootle, didn't go over 40 once as I had the bellypan on the back seat only held on with 1 bungee (all I could find) plus I forgot to attach the horn (consequently I wondered what the knocking was under braking :smt012 ) and the tyre pressures weren't checked either :smt053 (they were on my return tested at 26Lb front and 33Lb rear) so you can see I've forgotten more since I last rode than I ever can remember.

It rode like a shopping trolley with a wonky castor :smt010

Its now been sorted out and my sons out on it for a ride before deciding if he's going to have it.
