So who will have it outa the box?
I'm told I qualify for a free upgrade, but is it worth the risk?

Yeah, but in all honesty it should be free, for everyone! Windows is constantly, sometimes majorly, updated off the back of reports sent to MS. I'd call that Beta testing, which would indicate, to me at least, the product isnt ready for release to paying customers. MS have been like that since... Windows started!!

But Linux isnt backward compatible in the same way - all the extras you have had to compile you have mainly to do all over again in my experience. Windows definitely is less hassle.Kwackerz wrote:Gio wrote:I suppose you think linux doesn't have major upgradesKwackerz wrote:Yeah, but in all honesty it should be free, for everyone! How do you tell if you've got windows Xp x64?
In fact, doesnt matter. Just tried to download a copy of Inspirat, however the download is corrupted.. softpedia's d/load links only point to two locations, one isnt there, the other corrupted. ah well!
