Kiveton Kid King of Brands !!!!!!!!

#1 Post by HowardQ » Mon Aug 06, 2007 12:06 pm

If you've read any of my earlier posts, you will know that JT lived on the end of the road where I used to live, (still live in the area, although JT became a tax exile!). He also went to school with my daughter, and I've obviously been a massive fan for years.
Well my daughter got married on Saturday and everything went great, even managed to have "Summer " over the weekend, to make it even better. Then Jim gets an incedible double at Brands in front of 126,000 fans, (sadly could not be there because of the obvious clash!).
But otherwise could a weekend get any better? :smt017
I really don't think so, only downside was that I never managed to get out on the Falco in all that sun. Will make up for that one night this week!

As JT was doing superpole on Saturday, I take it that the above is not a "Childhood Sweethearts Tie The Knot" story and you've not actually managed to acquire a son-in-law who's upgrading his company vehicle to a Yam M1 ?

Anyway, best wishes to your daughter and I hope your bank account recovers ................

The boy done good, that's for sure. World Champ elect as far as I'm concerned, if you can sing the national anthem and then win 2 races under that kind of home pressure he can do it anywhere (plus of course he's done it before) he rode superbly, piled on the pressure and set out his stall straight away, 90% of them were beaten by the end of the 2nd lap in both races

Psychologically he's now got them all beat, He was in the pressure cooker and came out winning, How he must have enjoyed last nights party, (the one Troy was going to spoil!!!)

Roll on 2008 when we have the Kiverton Kid in MotoGP, I just hope Mr Burnett has got it all nailed down for him ie. Factory bits (the good stuff) and Bridgestone tyres

My guess is that he's got it reasonably well nailed down - after all JT said he wouldn't go on an uncompetitive package (e.g. al la Hodgson, Ellison or a string of others over the years). I think he was deadly serious about this.

My concern is whether there will be 'delays' in getting Yamaha's latest goodies if he starts pushing the Tavulia kid too close .... and if JT has the Bridgestones (as is the rumour) and IF Rossi is still on Michelins and IF they have not caught up, it could be very interesting.
