all dolled up and no place to go

Since getting my bike sorted with blue flames, chip, mille yellow spring shock and linkages I have had 2 small rides. Not enough to appreciate the falco especially as the last one was riddled with caravans and horse boxes, Not even got round to tweaking the suspension.

Well, now I have just discovered my neighbour 2 houses away is also a biker, so it looks like some good times lie ahead. We met 2 weeks ago with the usual parting comments about getting intouch for a ride etc. Tonight we talk on the phone and he said would I help him out tomorrow and ride his Ducati 748 to P&H motorcycle in Crawley to sell it!!!! (he's keeping his Blackbird). It's going for silly money and it it so tempting. I'm just hoping that I ride it tomorrow and it's bloody horrible.

Can you believe a 2003 Ducati 748 for £2500, don't know the mileage though. But he does seem like a bloke who looks after his bikes and he's getting rid cos he never uses it.

Don't listen to the voices, it's evil, it WILL break down. :smt018 :smt018

But just look at it!!!! :smt004 :smt004 :smt004

Well, you said it all. Beautiful bargain that'll break unless you spend lots on her. It's cheap to buy but dear to run. That's where the money goes. But you know all that, don't you? DON'T YOU??? STEP AWAY FROM THAT WALLET! :smt018

Panic over. Nothing to see here, move on.

Bit of miss communication, the bike was a 03 Ducati 750ss. Rode it to the shop. Not awe inspiring, and probably in the same category as the Falco (light sports tourer). The seat was comfortable and it felt good, but that was it really. No match for the Falco on engine handling and sound.

Still, a nice looking bike, four years old, 5000 miles and going to the dealer for £2000ish!!!
