#1 Post by go-kid » Tue Jul 24, 2007 9:05 pm

hi, anyone know of a good garage to get my bike serviced in the glasgow area? got my bike recently serviced at a motorcycle garage, price for the 16,000m service for a bandit wasnt bad I thought but thats if you've paid for a service that is!! someone told me the valve clearances get checked, air filter replaced and plugs replaced, well I got a m8t to check and nothing has been changed, chain wasnt even adjusted!!

Bl@@dy Hell chaps - you two are fearless!

I've just had to spell "Scottttts" with the wrong number of 't's in it and there's a Fatwah out on me with threats of burning.

..... mind you, there may have been the odd few additional comments that have contributed to my "endangered" status .......

Have you got a service book for the Bandit? 16thou isnt a lot of mileage and would probably be put down as a minor service rather than a major. It's possible that they do only do an oil change and general observation of the rest. Dont know for definate but it'd sound about right to me. Suzooks tend to be pretty decent bits of kit for reliability and low maintenance.

Enter Woody, the resident Bandit owning mechanic, stage left.......

It's all a cunning ploy to drag the Scottish Falconeers out of the falcopit.. give 'em summat to bite about and they'll be here in a shot, Once theyve then finished setting fire to Aladinsane, they'll no doubt chirp up with some decent info..

Whoops - sorry for joining in the hijack of your thread.

Unfortunately I'm not much help here as I know no dealers in or around Glasgow and have never had a Bandit (not even one of those Skoal thingies).

Anyway, as Kwackerz says, one of the natives is sure to be along at some time - the bars must be closing soon.
