So, what yer got?
I was thinking (following on from a thread elsewhere) of running a bit of a challenge. Nowt too intense or competitive, just a 'can anyone better that' kinda thing.
So to start off... Ive got (the ones I can currently find.. anyone for Castrol Honda racing on the original Playstation?)
Motocross Mania 3 (xbox)
TT Superbikes (PS2)
SBK 07 (PS2)
MotoGP ultimate racing technology 3 (xbox)
MotoGP 4 (PS2)
Riding Spirits (PS2)
Hawk Kawasaki Racing (PS2)
Crescent Suzuki Racing (PS2)
Extreme G Racing (PS2)
I know Gio has some of those, so anyone else?
Basically we'd choose a circuit, set the parameters and start with laptime comparisons etc.. maybe the better laptime of the 'session' (say a track per week) requiring a bit of photographic evidence? That way those who arent 'online console gamers' can take part.
The 'winner' getting a suitable forum rank under their name.. 'MotoGP Champ' or whatever until the next winner..

Well I didn't manage to get the WSB 07 game
Others I have are Motorider 3, Motogp4, Cresecent Suzuki (From HS, dunno its age), Gran Turismo 3 and 4. Which is what I'm currently spending time on (4), doing the Lemans 24hr and just finished the Nurburgring 24hr, for about the 10th time (its the best track ever IMO)

I've got motogp4, tt superbikes and wsb07 (the others are too poop to mention) and motogp is far and away the best/easiest/most natural to play.
gt4 is the only reason i bought a ps2 but i dont have the attension span to learn any tracks
ps. whats the best game to learn uk tracks on? eg, croft, cadwell and oulton park. Anyone tried r-factor and its homemade 'tributes' to circuits>?

I learnt Snetterton from TOCA 1 I think it was!
Ive got the MCN Track Guide (2004 version) should you wish to get hold of it, Pierre? Had it for when I raced. Was flippin' awesome as a learning tool, even if it is only a booky type thing.
I would say Brands is absolutely spot on , on the SBK 07 game.
Apart from a lack of my old reference points.

i did think about the value of my xbox 360 just the other night as i sat in the lounge watching a film
(this is of course just a random dream and did not really happen at all officer....)
the film had been downloaded to my pc hard drive by mistake - I had mistakenly clicked on some random web site that said something about bitorrent and then this file appeared... as I had been playing on the old console I decided to see if there were any interesting clips or songs on my hard drive - sure enough that movie was there, and my wife and i enjoyed it, sitting comfortably in our lounge on our large screen TV.... in good resolution and with full stereo.... and all done by wifi.....
NOW THAT was class as far as I am concerned - to be able to aquire something, and then watch it in comfort... awesome. Being sad, I also have a tv card in my pc and i do set the pc up to record stuff that again I watch back in the comfort of my lounge
(Ends the dream)
now, that is pretty cool i think you will agree :)

My son John has a PS3 (you might have met him and his girlfriend at some point at a RiOT meet) he thinks now it's a waste of money. He's even got an X-Box 360 and its no better than that IHO.Torn wrote:how can you justify that statement? i own a PS3 and think it worth every penny,Gio wrote:Snap.Kwackerz wrote:Ah but I aint got a 360!
TBO X-Box 360 is not worth its money (neither is the new PS3)
