Kids gear any one?

#1 Post by HisNibbs » Thu Jul 05, 2007 8:21 am

I'm looking to take my ten year old daughter on a short camping trip. We have some stuff but are looking for boots and gloves. Size 4 or close would do for the boots. knowing how these things grow and some of the gear gets used twice before being too small, any one got suitable kit they would consider selling?

Hi Gio,

My middle daughter is 15 & very slim and only takes one size of shoe larger than the 10 year old.

So I'm looking for something they both might wear and accept that it will be a little large on the 10 year old.
We might only do the one trip together this year and next year the stuff will fit a little better.

So if you have boots close to size 4 and not too expensive I'd be interested.

Thanks,

Hi,
My mate has some size 5/ Euro 38, Sidi Vertebrae boots that his Daughter used to wear, so they're as new.
He'd like £50 +p&p
He's also got Jacket and Pants.
PM me for a contact address if you're interested.

The Sidi's would be a good choice. Gem wanted some for the odd time she comes out with me but I thought the cost vs amount of times she comes out was a bit too much. Anyhow, my mate changed his bike and wanted new boots to match (puff) and she got his old Sidi's. They're a couple of sizes too big but combined with sidis being a tight fit anyway and you can adjust all the armour to fit, they've been spot on.

Thought the info may be of use. :smt001

Hmmm the boots are size 7. (I blame the wife) as my daughter isn't small (she's 5'7" and 16 now)

Thanks for the responses. £55 is more than I want to pay right now for something I'm not sure will be used vey much. I bought a leather jacket and jeans for them a while back. So I think I'll watch out on ebay for a while.
I put a bid in on Friday for some boots and it seems like stuff comes up from time to time, just thought I'd try here first.

HN if ever you want a size 7 they'll still be here. They've only been worn a dozen times or so and for 30 mins at a time.

They still do exchange gear I think, for those who outgrow their kit, etc
