Anybody else fitted Stompgrip?

#1 Post by Syltiz » Tue Jun 26, 2007 8:00 pm

I put mine on last night.. not the easiest thing in the world to get right, and the adhesive gave me the mother-of-all headaches.

Just took the bike out now I am massively impressed. I can lock myself to the tank with minimal effort and with my upper body completely relaxed the ride is definately much better. Its as ugly as sin but the benefits are clear.

Anybody else done this?

Had them on one of my bikes last year, but have abandoned them this year as I didnt find that much benefit after a while.

Just fitted some recently and I think its great stuff. Gonna take some getting used to ie: trusting them enough to only have 1 knee pushing against them and leaning off while braking instead of giving the tank a deathgrip :smt001

I didnt have a hairdryer for obvious reasons so i used a blowtorch to heat them and the tank. Worked fine but some dick didnt take the time to line them both up symetrically :smt016
