or does this look like a CBR at a quick glance?
OBVIOUSLY apart from the trellis frame and the stickers saying Ducati.. before you say summat Gio..
But from the front, could easily be mistaken..
Anyone else got a expensive that looks cheap couple of bikes? The Ducati 750 sport looking like a CBR600 being my offering..

nope
the duke is not cylindrically challenged
oh - and i think that if there would be any resemblence, then the rice burner would be copying the duke....
and finally - the duke has something the 4 pot doesn't have... i think it's called style :)

Not even quick glance.
If I didn't know better and I had a quick glance at it, I'd think it was made by Meccano

How in hell can you compare some lardy Honda with the Duc?
The only thing they have in common is 2 wheels, some plastics an engine and a tank

The square headlight and air duct immediately below - yes.
Everything else - not really.
But then again aren't all bikes fundamentally the same. When was the last truly original bike design? We need someone to put the engine out the back or ...

Well, it's going back a bit (was it the '70s ?) but I did see one of these at Bikefest a few weeks ago.
The Quasar:

The Bond Bug:
