I'm back

#1 Post by FlyingKiwi » Fri Jun 15, 2007 9:10 pm

I know you've all been waiting with baited breath for my return and here I am :smt003
The Superior Bronze Falco preformed impeccably All the way down to the Pyrenees, up to Millau, across to Nice and up Napoleans Route, or was that the Route de Napoleon ? In 3000 miles the bike never missed a beat in temps ranging up to 36 degs :smt003 Although the rider did wilt on occasion. :smt087
A quick check this afternoon reveals a slightly lower oil level and a plethora of dead bugs
The Avon Storms also preformed well in a variety of conditions; hot and dry, dry and hot, and dry and extremely warm :smt028

Other bikes were a Suzuki SV 1000 and a Triumph ST 1050.
naturally the Falco lead the way.
Some fantastic roads in the Pyrenees, even a bit of peg grinding action :smt003
Spanish fuel was 1.04 euro a litre too :smt023
I have some video I'll try and post later.

Last time we did the Pyrenees it was raining, I don't know if it was wash down from the mountains or diesel or what but it was incredibly slippery in places, so much so that on one corner we both slid onto the wrong side of the road into the path of an on coming truck! Good job it was only crawling along and we were carefully tip toeing around as well. Looks like you had much more fun going through them.

Looks good mate - and brings back my own trip.

It's not fair though - every time I crossed a white line there was a hoard of Gendarmes on the spot!!
