Just tryng to do this as I now have a set of mille linkages to go with my sachs yellow sping shock.
First problem flat tyre, but the post is not about that (bit of a bugger though as its only a few hundred miles old and has a nail in it

)
My problem is how do I get the bolt out which attaches the front of the dogone to he frame. I have undone the nut that is on the left hand side of the bike (when sitting on the bike) but it just turns. On the left hand side there looks like it might be a small allan key head inside the dogbone, but I'd be buggered if I could get an allen key in there as the exhaust and frame are in the way. It also doesn't seem to be a one man job

It's an Allen headed bolt (M10x74) that passes through from the Right Hand Side (as looking forward), secured by an M10 Nylock.
Got mine out single handedly with an Allen Key and a spanner (Socket, I think).
The last time I changed this over was a bit of a struggle as I started about 11pm - doing this outside with inadequate lighting. In daylight it's been a fairly easy job.

Well, thats all done now. Was a bit of a fiddle getting the allan key in, but got there in the end. Couldn't torque a couple of the bolts as could'nt get the torque wrench in (made sure they were tight though after hearing about D-Riders woes). Also, removing and fitting the allen bolt was a strggle as it caught on the exhaust pipe, took a bit of gengle persuasion (probably find out I have a hole in the exhause now

)
Put the settings to standard on the shock and took the measurements. Rider sag 30mm (ideal range 10-40mm) and static sag 10mm (ideal range 5-10mm) so it looks like a good start.
Didn't do a test ride due to time and nail in tyre (and due to me fitting new switchgear to my Suzuki DRZ - seven different coloured wires with different connections to the wiring loom

, but it seems to work)
So all in all not a bad days work.

What are the settings you used Gaz? How many clicks/turns have you used?
Two is the magic number... ;)

Sorry for the delay, haven't been on for a while.
I took my settings from the Mille manual that from here I think
http://www.serviceaprilia.com/public/lu ... lle%202004
Basically, adjuster at bottom of shock, 20 clicks from fully closed, knob at top of shock, 12 clicks from fully closed. Guessed on the spring preload and have not touched the height adjuster.
