Always fancied one and found one which I am looking at today, still keeping the Falco :smt002

Anything I should be concerned about, I know about the exup valve.

What are the service schedules?

General info appreciated

Nearly bought one before I got the Falco, nice to ride and only ever heard good things about them. My neighbour has one and loves it!
Obviously more upright than the Falco so some people find them more comfortable. Yes, keep an eye on the Exup valve, not heard of anything else major.

a mate of mines got an 06 and i've riden it, comfy, fast, no grin factor for me thow i think i'd soon be bored with it, on the down side compared to the falco's the brakes are crap unless it just a bad one. build quality would be an issue for me as there is a lot of corrosion.

I very nearly bought one, in fact would have if they'd agreed a sensible price for one that had been down the road and repaired.
Seems from these posts it's a nearly bike. :smt017

Cant stand Fazers.

They always get in the way on fast sweeping bends.

My father in law had one of the old ones and although I cant stand it, it did seem to do ok. He never rode it over 60mph. He got rid of it and bought a car instead.

The new ones? Dunno. It's a Yamaha. Cant be too bad

Sam, Thought that was a Chundertwat, not a Fazer?

Thanks Guys

Well I agreed a price and paid a deposit, now need to raise the balance, collect it and get it in the garage without you know who giving me a hard time.

Hi Stokesy

I've got an 05 model (the old model), it's my second one. I really like it, it's a bit heavy but so easy to ride and the motor's as smooth as they come. Suspension needs an upgrade for it to be a top bike, and Ivan's jet kit will make it run even smoother. There's no particular issues on the old model, not sure about the new one.

Service intervals are 6k, with the biggie at 24k.

You'll find more information on http://www.foc-u.co.uk - there's an F1 section.

If you need any more information just drop me a line.

Brothers got one ... brill bike! ...had it dyno'd after fitting an ivans kit (jet's) and it made as much HP as a R1 but better to ride :smt001 ...dyno chap was amazed at how good it was....motor is bullet proof.

Exup valve is fine if removed and cleaned/greased etc' regular ...my Bro' has fitted a full akrapo' system which removes the exup ...this has lost a little torque at bottom rev range but still fine, and will easily pull 150+ every day without fail.

The suspension is a bit soft but it is very comfy long range, and this is easily sorted eh.

...............it depends who's on em Kwack!! .....you wouldn't get held up by my Bro'

Had one when they first came out, great bike.
Main dislike was chain slap on the swingarm.
