Adjusting the original Falco Rear Shock?!

#1 Post by nabelo » Fri May 25, 2018 11:50 am

Hello everybody,

I have a short question about the original Falco rear suspension regarding the preload.
The manual says something about 38 to 44 mm.
According to the manual, it is also to be seen on the picture in there that they have drawn the way from the visible thread to the UPPER locking ring nut.
But I'm still not sure if "38 to 44 mm" really means the distance from the visible thread to the (upper) locking ring nut or just the visible thread up to the LOWER adjustment nut?!

Could any one of you make me smarter?
And what would be a good preload value for about 85kg (including clothing)?

Best regards,

Manuel

I wouldn't worry about "default settings" - just get it set up for yourself.
I think that at home I've got a pdf of Griff's excellent guide on how to set it up - if you pm me your email address, I'll send it to you.
