#1 Post by DavShill » Wed Oct 18, 2017 8:28 am

Thanks to Blinkey's tip off I bought some SL Carbon Silencers and SL Eprom chip today.

Just going on hols later so can't collect them for a week or so.
Excited :smt003 (more so for the cans rather than the holiday.....is that a bad thing :smt017 ).

Terrible, but it'll make you want to return so you can fit them. A win win imo. :smt003
I hate it when people ask if you have a bathroom, I want to say "No we pee in the garden"

I am sure you will love both.
The cans will make you smile and they will piss off your neighbours, the EPROM will make you grin like a loon. It is a proper thug of a chip.
Tick over may not be so good, low speed can be a bit snatched but it's like being fired out of a cannon.......

Hi Dave, Had the Aprilia RC SL chip with my cans originally but replaced it with the Gabro. Found the Gabro a little smother off the bottom end pulling out of a corner but would be hard pushed to differentiate once under way.

The Cans are really well made.
Don't put off 'till tomorrow what you can enjoy today

No worries mate.

I knew you was after some. Those look mint on ebay.

I'll agree with that - the cans are awesome. I love mine.

The chip, not so awesome. It runs super-rich at low RPM and can be a real dog around town. Get yourself a Gabro - they are like night and day in comparison.
It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.

I had one of Ed's chips in the Falc that ran so rich that it almost made your eyes sting ...

Then I dug out my exhaust analyser and did the trim pot thing... made it all lovely and sweet again...
