Anyone goint to the AP Open Day? - 20th Aug 2017

#1 Post by D-Rider » Thu Aug 10, 2017 8:36 am

Hi - I was wondering whether anyone is going up to Griff's for the Aprilia Performance Open Day?

It's earlier this year.

I'm going to try to make it but that depends on how things go as I'm going to be a bit busy that weekend (no change there then).

No can do - just been told that I've got another 4-8 weeks of light duties (nothing more strenuous than walking), so the bike is out :smt009

Hmm. I'm literally riding from Lincoln to Coventry on that Sunday, and I could quite easily drop by tamworth to say hi!

Where's your commitment?
It's only a short march in your hiking boots!

I am thinking of going.
I am going to speak to my mate who has just bought the red falco off me.
By the size of his grin last time we went out on the falco's. I think there should be little resistance. :smt047
Jean luc. Are you up for this?

Depends on weather, but I could well be up for it.

A bit far for me... :smt002

And I also have something else on that day, too.
It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.

I'll be travelling the cross-coutry route from Stafford (as that is where the Falco currently resides), so probably see you there. Unless the weather is pretty dire I intend to be there.

A little late I know but I wasn't sure the tank would fixed in time. I'll be heading up via the M6 at some point in the morning.
Insert humourous comment here

I was fully intending to go (pass-outs arranged etc.) but events conspired against me, in the form of being oncall for work. I was called out no less than 4 times overnight, with one call lasting nearly 2 hours and aonother one nearly an hour. As the likelihood of being called again later during the day was quite substantial, I had to reluctantly give up my planned excursion to the AP day.

I've been in a pretty foul mood all day, as a result... :smt013
