Pillion Seat Lock...
Hi all,
Got off my bike on westgate rd, ncle. Went for breaky and a look at bikes in shops, came back to bike, and, said lock just not working! Tried pressing down hard, no joy, it happened before years ago. Can't remember how I got into it tbh. Anyone got a secret they would like too share, pwetty pwease....

the release cable can come loose from the catch end and although I've never done it apparently you can get tweak the lock from somewhere.
I'm posting to suggest when you put it back together that you nip the prongs together to prevent it reoccurring. I've got a wee zip tie on mine too for good measure

Lock...
Hi all,
Thanks Katie and FP, will try pressing down real hard! As for trying to engage the lock from somewhere, that is what the problem is. Trying to work out where to access it

Flat end of a teaspoon under the gap above the pillion seat slightly to the gearshift side of tge bike will give enough to release the catch
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

Hi all,
Got one of my bendy tools out of the van and managed to push the lock open. Fitted two cable ties, so not happening again
Thanks for advice......
