Tune ECU

#1 Post by jjdugen » Thu Jun 29, 2017 10:46 am

Hi all, me again.
Now I've had time to read through some of the thousands of posts I'm impressed with the level of knowledge and support on here.
So, I have various maps from the Tune ECU site that we used for fettling the Triumph, but it also has maps for Aprilias too. Anyone used, tried this out and the results?

We've come across this but not sure if anyone on here has used one.

Some of us have used Power Commander PCIIIs but TBH, unless you spend dyno time setting it up for your bike, results can be a bit mixed.

A good number of us have ditched our PCIIIs and gone for a chip (or gone straight for a chip). It works out cheaper and better.

The thing is, you need to get the right chip for your set up - don't just by something random off of ebay.

I am truly impressed with the Gabro chip I have. You basically tell him your bike config and he'll supply a chip to suit.

If you are planning any changes to induction or exhaust, it's best to do them first and then get the chip you need.

I'd second Andy's comments. I've used chips from Gabro and Forza Italia and both are excellent. I certainly don't feel the need to fit a PCIII, even though I've got one sitting in my spares stash.

A new Eprom gives loadsa bang for the bucks, cheaper and less messing than fitting a Power Commando.
You cannot go wrong with a Forza or a Gabro.

Get a Gabro chip in there. You can't go wrong with his awesome work.
It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.
