What does this say about a so called professional driver?

It is better to arrive 30 seconds late in this world than 30 years early in the next

Oh dear, how sad, what a shame. No-one told him the camera was there..... Did no-one tell him the speed limit was there either?

Maybe he should have bought a speed camera detector, would have been cheaper :smt003

I never have any sympathy for ANYONE who whinges about getting caught speeding! The moral is, if you can't work out where/when to do it without getting caught just don't do it! (and NEVER in a 30 limit)

I've been done twice for 36 in a 30 - SINCE I stopped riding - just goes to show how much less aware we are when sitting in a tin box! Won't be doing it again though.

Apparently it was disguised ..... as a traffic light camera
..... and he didn't think that going through a set of traffic lights at speed was an issue?

I have sympathy with him. The camera wasnt painted yellow as promissed by HMG and there were no chevrons on the road surface, so he was entitled to assume that it was there to trap those ignoring the lights rather than to trap those travelling at reasonable speeds.

No suggestion that anyone else was in any way harmed or that he had an accident yet he loses his livelyhood.

Are you serious?

He is a so called professional driver, he should be complying with all traffic laws and regs. It has diddly squat to do with cameras painted yellow or chevrons (which are not a legal requirement btw).

And as far as being a trap? FFS, get real....... He got caught 14 times, he was a persistant offender. If you choose to knowingly flout the law you have nobody to blame but yourself when you get caught.

On top of that, he is local to the area, so he knew it was a seed camera, he knew it was there, and he deserves to loose his livelyhood if that is his attitude. :smt011

Do they have those in regions where arable farming is prevalent ?

I knew you'd pick up on that! :smt005 :smt005
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

I have been a passenger in quite a few taxi's in my time.

One thing I have learned is that none of them obey Speed limits.

If you Speed and get caught it is your fault. End of story.
:smt018

Been caught a couple of times over the 28 years I have been driving.

You have to take it on the chin.
Tolerance will be our undoing.
