She came to me as a scruffy non-runner that had been under a tarp for the last 8 years or so. The carbs were corroded wide open, it was full of shite and goo all over and most of the fasteners were rusty or corroded. All fluids repalced and brakes refurbed etc.

Doesn't matter whether you like the particular bike or not you can always appreciate the beauty of a job well done and that is well done skipper
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

Coor! :smt007
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

Very nice, who did the paintwork?

BTW they are my favorite colours.

Excellent work, Greg. That looks just like it rolled off the production line.

That's rather lovely! I do love older bikes, you can see that's a soozook just with a quick look!

Beautiful restoration job :)

Test rode one of those many years ago, it was the first time (although not the last) I ever laughed out loud at the sheer joy of speed!

I think it was a lucky(ish) catch really..

I picked it up as a non-runner from a guy whose mate owned a garage in which it had been left by someone who afterwards just abandoned it ... in 2009!

It took a few hours work to strip the carbs as they were stuck open for some reason, then after that it was a question of clean, clean, clean. I refurbed the brakes with braided hoses, replaced the fuel and vacuum lines and blasted every fastener I took off. Yesterday I took it down to Crescent for an MOT but it failed - on slight perishing of the rear wheel's valve. Arse!

Paint work - I couldn't say, it was done before I got it. It's been re-done for sure and in the photos you can see that the white on the side panels is a shade off the white of the belly pan..

I'm torn between keeping it and selling it - TBH I could do with the money to fund my next project (there's a 350LC sitting unloved in a garage not too far away...), but the Suzy is just sooooo clean and lovely.. However, the last time I sold a bike without thinking about it properly first I shot myself properly in the foot.

It was a pristine NS400R. I need say no more.
