Water leak ... fixed

#1 Post by Falcomille » Fri Jun 01, 2007 3:44 pm

Thanks for the help guys, got down to business today and found that the "t" pipe connector between the waterpump. rad header and return, had actually cracked, and when we pulled it out, actually broke in 3 places. Nice piece of engineering I think not!
New "t" and 45 mins of fiddling and it's now water tight.

Hiya FM,

When you replaced that 'T' piece, what did you do with the hose clamps? Were you able to re-use those strange Aprilia ones, or did you head off to the hardware shop and get some normal ones?

I'm asking because I really have to get around to fixing my coolant leak, and I'd prefer not to pay 3 quid (AU$10) for a hose clamp.

I am giving him my old white spring mille shock - it does need a service but we will see what he thinks then :)
