Rider Down

#1 Post by D-Rider » Thu Sep 10, 2015 10:16 am

Bad news - it seems that Rob (Falconihlist) has been punted off his Falco in a hit & run incident with a Mercedes (not mine - my alibi is that I'm on the Falco today).
It also seems that plod were not interested despite the other party failing to stop and just told him to contact his insurer !!

Don't know much more than that really - his better-half has posted on Facebook from A&E.

By all accounts, Rob gave the bike a soft landing by placing himself underneath it and has an injured neck and left leg.

Hopefully we'll hear more in due course and it'd be nice to hear that injuries are not too severe.

Hope you get sorted at the hospital and recover quickly.

Am hearing more about dibble not being interested in hit & run incidents and leaving it to the insurance firms. Is there much point of a police force? They have a reputation for not doing a lot.. A reputation they try to shake. Seems they need to try harder!

All the best for a swift recovery, pal. :smt006

Modern p-lod don't give a shit about anything or anyone, it's just a well paid job where they get to boss people around.

All the best to Rob!

Think my views on the scum are fairly well known if not that should give a clue ;)
More important is that one of our own is ok all the best
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

Update from the man himself
Well, that was an interesting morning. Thanks to everyone who commented on the wifes {Facebook} post. Leg is a bit screwed up (even more than usual), but no fractures. As per, typical cager not knowing which lane they are in and not considering those around them. Kit did it's job though, so now to look for a new lid

Hope you are well and up and about soon Rob.
Hope your leg isn't too bad.
As for the scum, par for the course!

In the last few days I've got to an accident scene a few minutes after it had taken place, and in both cases the police seemed to take an age to get there, even though there was a police station within two miles.

The second of these accidents was this afternoon, whilst out on the Kwack.
During this ride I saw 4 police camera cars!

Glad you are not too badly broken and your riding kit did its job.
Easy to understand why more and more road users use cameras these days

Think its time to put the camera back on my bike.
