Going strong.... but...

#1 Post by KitchenSync » Sun Aug 09, 2015 7:38 pm

I just returned from a week long, 500 mile trip on the renewed Signor Falco.

Didn't miss a beat, loving the lower 15/42 gearing... but...

At 85mph on the M6 it died today.

I made it across to the breakdown lane OK and coasted for some 25 seconds, releasing the clutch to see if it would catch and thinking "fuuuuuuuuccccckkkkkk"

Got down to about 45 and then it caught, and continued for the next 120 miles without incident.

No funny lights, the stand switch is currently shorted - no idea what it was.

Try removing, cleaning and reseating the chip in the Ecu.

Threaten Signor with a big stick !
I had an EPROM work it self loose, instant cut out then cut in again but did get EFI on the dash display.
Big stick and stern words in a John Cleese style ?
Cleverly disguised as an adult !
