Time to organise a meet up methinks

#1 Post by paddyz1 » Mon May 28, 2007 6:46 pm

Sometime in July while it is still warm. Thinking in the midlands to keep it central for everybody. I have never ridden east of Birmingham (or driven) so willing to give it a try but open to options.
If anyone else has any options lets get them aired now and we can have a poll or somethinkg like that.

Would like to see everyone there.

I should be up for that before I move house. Will watch with interest.

Some good roads in Rutland/Stamford etc and Stamford is good for accomodation and night out etc (in-laws live there so I know a few places). Fairly central too.

Or maybe South Lakes with a run up through Lakes?

Yeah - I may well be up for it - but not 1st July w/e as I'll be in Japan and the weekend after that I'll be badly jetlagged.
Damn - just looked at the callendar and one of the Mrs' friends is getting married on 14th - I bet I'll be expected to attend (I've not really raised the subject hoping to come up with a plan to get out of it ... and I don't think a biking w/e is going to work as an excuse).
Guess my vote is for one of the last 2 weekends in July.

Living 20 miles east of Birmingham I can definitely recommend finding somewhere else!

I'd be up for a Midlands-ish meet sometime over the summer. I have a few weddings to go to and other stuff planned, but once dates firm up I'll be able to let you know

Work permitting, I'd be interested... and I'll be trying to get to Kelso as well.

I'd be up for it if it is in the Midalnds somewhere. It would be good to put some faces to the names.

Yup, I'd be interested as well. Maybe those travelling up from south could have a little Falco convoy.
