Throttle cable routing

#1 Post by Dalemac » Thu Apr 02, 2015 8:36 am

Hi,

Nearly got the falco back on the road, but I can't decide what side of the RHS forks the throttle cables are supposed to go. Would someone do me a favour and have a look at theirs and see if they go between the frame and the fork or between the fork and the dash?

Thanks,

Dale

Between fork and dash on standard bike, but on the red Falco (which has slightly raised and raked back bars), I route them between fork and frame. I think the trick is to leave the adjusters at the handle bar end loose, move the bars from lock to lock and observe how much the adjusters move while you're doing it. Then tighten them in the mid position.

Hi Dale - I lied to you. Throttle cable routes behind the fork leg, not in front. Routing it in front of the fork leg will cause the lower plastic part of the ignition barrel to snap off if you're ham-fisted (ask me how I know...)

Sorry for duff info...
