touching up the fire red

#1 Post by ReggieGasket » Fri Mar 27, 2015 1:15 pm

Hi all, my fire red Falco has some scratches on the upper fairing due to a spill in the past. I'd like to touch them up, but it looks a tricky paint to match. Anyone tried? I'm wondering if it might be more fun to respray bits of the bike to create something new. Maybe go red and black in some way??

Hey Giles,

I've used this before:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/APRILIA-TOUCH ... m1dbf4238a

its never going to be a perfect match though, the pain on our bikes is now 15 years old and is fading.

P.S. are you still up for selling the bellypan? My falco is still off the road, hence I haven't been in contact.

Dale

Red & Black sounds like the way to go ':smt003'

It will go proportionally slower in direct correlation to the amount of black you add until the only way you can get anywhere is on the back of a support vehicle !!!
Don't believe me just ask Alad .., his is all black and is the only bike with green card loyalty points
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

I almost bought a red and black one similar to this. It looked fantastic in the pictures and I really did love the colour scheme. However now I've got my stealthy black rocket I wouldn't swap it the world.

Giles - I think I discovered where you live today. My father in law is in the residential home just around the corner.
