bike surge
Having recently changed the spark plugs I managed to have a blast today only to every now and then feel the bike hesitate to slow down when I roll of the throttle for only a second . I've taken the bike apart again ready for tomorrow to have look so wondered if any one else has had similar problems and what the cause might be. I thought the linkages might be sticking but seem fine but will oil them up a bit and give the butterflies a clean . The snorkel is not a good fit either so assuming that has always been the case.
Check the screws on the butterflies themselves are tight - I've heard of some cases where they have come a little loose allowing the butterflies to move on the shafts.
May well be something else but that's worth a look.
.... and no, the snorkels are not a good fit. They do little to pressurise the air box - more there to divert cool air from the front of the bike.

Bang on with the butterflies , they were both loose so tightened them up but had some tick over adjusting to do as when I put it back together the revs were way high . Backed off the screw above the tick over knob to seat the butterflies better and all's well but need to road test .
