the sort of week when...

#1 Post by fatboy » Sun Feb 01, 2015 4:29 pm

The things I'm fairly reliant upon decide to stop working.
Monday, tablet dies, despite one hour talking to customer services it will not work.
Tuesday, turbo on car let's go in a big way.
Thursday, mobile crashes and deletes all contacts.
Saturday, there is no way I can get all my missions done using bus service so the cover comes off the falc,a quick check over, stab the starter and
Bapbapbapbap....after 3 months of being parked up,no hesitation, no drama.
Now the bloody mot expires, still, got to give her little kiss for that :smt008

You have my sympathy so far the last month or so
drier packed up
Washing machine packed up
Sorn not received by dvla so fined
Insurance didn't renew as its the wife's but paid in my name so not allowed any more ( still a months free insurance kind of )
TV packed up swapped for replacement still no joy as its allegedly a software issue so back to another 3 weeks chasing a fix
Garage electrics packed up
Missed my own birthday

Pls side finally started a new contract at what seems a decent place and have managed a week without getting laid off ! A whole week !!
Now may be able to clear some bulks that have been piling up

Theodore , my little hero, makes every day worthwhile
Wife is just getting more and more great to be around despite being diagnosed with 2 genetic conditions ( 3 if you count being a woman! ;) )
I got to spend 2 months full time with Tgeo
I learnt how to fix driers
I learnt how to fix washing machines
I got a new TV that may work eventually with a new 12 month warranty
I got work to pay bills at a place that allows talking eating and coffee drinking
They have aldi asked me if I mind coming in the bike when I can to free up parking and found me a sheltered safe spot right by the door
Now just put the exhausts on replace the bulbs get an MOT for the bronze one and I will be in to a winner!

What phone and tablet was it may have some knowledge available if it helps but don't know fek all about turbos
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

So true!

Anyway, you two should worry. My moans arent about gadgets giving up - they are about bits of me giving up! Trying to play guitar ( crap at it) with three working fingers on one hand and two on the other. Not to mention .....

But at least I woke up this morning which is a bonus of sorts. :smt003 .

Seasick Steve seems to have a career built on it

It's a little different for Seasick Steve cos it's the guitar that only has 3 strings, his fingers are all there!

The tragedy of old age is not that one is old, but that one is young.
