Nice to have you back mate!

#1 Post by HowardQ » Tue Jan 13, 2015 2:10 pm

Really nice to hear from you Andy!
It seems like you have been busy.
Very sorry to hear of your bereavement, especially at this time of year, but as you probably know I lost both of mine many years ago and both of Terri's since, so if you ever need a chat, I'm available.
Some people on this site are "actually" special, (whatever you may say!), and going on 14.5k posts does rather back this up!
There cannot be one of the older members on this site who have not been in a position where some newish member comes up with a problem, wanting help, realises they're the first to see the thread and dare to dream that they may get in with help before you, only to press send and then see you were there first, with a great reply.
HOW DO YOU DO IT almost every time you bugger??
Then keep doing it thousands of times!
There cannot have been a member over many years that you haven't given good advice to, and every one appreciated it!
Many new members have commented over the years how great the advice is on here and a lot of it has come from you!

Every once in a while people may think they may know better, but on reflection cannot ever normally fault the basics of what you initally posted.

Finally we would all like to thank you for all your work on the Admin side, nice DR touch, closing the old thread.
Sorry to go on at such length, as you know, I don't do many one liners, in this instance a one line reply could never hope to cover what this site owes to you.
(plus its a bit too windy and overcast for sunbathing here in Lanzarote at the moment)

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Good to see you back, Andy. Hope things aren't too stressful in your personal life, and that Joy isn't taking it too hard. Please give her our very best. Even when you're expecting it, it doesn't make it any easier to bear.

It's good to see the old names still around and that a slight spat can be mended. I greatly appreciated the opportunity to match faces to names at Trentfield last year but was disappointed that Andy's wasn't one of them. Good to know that I may yet get tht opportunity. All the best for 2015, Andy.
