Guess they don't call them soft links for nothing..
Unfortunately I've lost part of my chain splitter (the part that presses the pins out) so looking for a new tool as well as a new chain..

I was wondering why I had a tight spot on my chain, look at the gap between the two links held together by the soft link and the gap of the two links held together by a hard link next door:
Guess they don't call them soft links for nothing..
