Anybody else going to the NEC this year? I'll likely go on the Tuesday.

I am, and at the moment I think I'm going Tuesday too, I'll probably see you at the cash machine emptying your account.

I'm hopefully going to try and bag some bargains. I may even go up on the bike if it's a nice day.

If you go on the bike how will you carry all the bargains back?

If the arrangements are the same as the last time I went - few years ago with Mart & Geoff, then bike parking is a lot closer and more convenient than car parking.

Where there's a will there's a way. Only looking for a few bits. LED indicators, maybe a new pair of gloves and possibly some ASV levers. Nothing that won't fit into a back pack. Also depends if her indoors wants to come too as il probably go on the car if that's the case.

Yes, bike parking is close and free, or it was last time I went on the bike. They had optional lid and jacket storage for £2. Better than the £8 or so for the car park and the being packed into a bus.

The car park is about a tenner, absolute rip off, although not as much of a rip off as the ticket sales that state very clearly "no ticket fees", so you buy your ticket and they add on a £1.50 fulfilment fee!!!

I used to take the bike, but I found that when I did there would be a mega bargain pair of tyres, new leathers and lids that I wanted, now I drive and come back empty handed :)

I used to park at the motorcycle museum and walk over
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

Let the train take the strain. Most of the 'local' station car parks are free. Tile Hill, Berkswell and Hamton-In--Arden are quite large. Check train times for Hampton though.. Think they stop every hour whereas the others are every half hour IRRC..
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

Hope you had a good time at the show mate, I loved it. I didn't bother going on the bike even though it was reasonably nice day for the end of November. The tax runs out on mine tomorrow and I'm taking it upto the mother in-laws where she'll spend her winter. Also a nice dry place for me to strip down whatever I can to clean and maintain. Also have a load of goodies to fit that I got at the show. I can't see me bothering to re-tax it until March at the earliest. It's just too cold, wet and dirty on the roads now.
