Had a drive out to see our own MartDude this afternoon. Took his Futura for a spin and it didn't take long before a connection started to form with it. To cut a long story short, after a brilliant bacon, egg and black puddin sarnie, we stuck a deal.
Over the next week or so, I shall be the proud owner of an RST1000. Back into the world of Aprilia after a couple of years off.
Thanks you Mart for your generous hospitality. Very much appreciated.

My pleasure, Will.
I'm very glad it's going to such a good home, where, I'm sure, it'll get all the attention and care it deserves.
It's served me well for 6 1/2 years; it's done everything I've asked of it, and is capable of giving a lot more. I'm very sad it's had to go, but health issues mean it's no longer the bike for me.
I hope it gives you as much fun, pleasure, and satisfaction as it has me.

Oh, and thanks for the latest Dunhill catalogue. Shall have a peruse through a during the week when my gown and mules turn up from Ambrose Wilson. (thought I'd get that in before the Falco boys start.

You'll need one of these. As far as I know, the only pipe named after a bike. Or the Futura is the only bike with its own pipe

I hope you enjoy this more than the 'flying futon' you bought, hopefully this will be the V twin leather recliner !

Good stuff. Glad to hear that it's stayed close by, so to speak.
I trust that it might have an outing at the mid-year meet in Trentfield? There was a good number of Futs there this year, nearly as many as the Falco's if I remember right

As I was saying to Mart the other day, my social calender for 2015 isn't looking as full as 2014 was looking this time last year. The only things that are set in stone are my annual excursion to Jersey (late May bank holiday), the Coventry Motofest (last weekend in May. non-negotiable as I'm one of the organisers!), and the ManxGP in August. Other than that..

Nice to know it's staying 'in the family' !
