sorry, another bloody shock question

#1 Post by gazuk » Tue May 22, 2007 5:41 pm

Are the linkages off a RSV the same as for an RSVR?

I have a mille yellow spring sachs off a 2003 RSV and have the chance to get linkages off a 2002 RSVR. Are they suited?

Good question!

The RSVR of course had an Ohlins shock fitted as std, but common sense would dictate that they wouldn't have fitted yet another set of different linkages would they??

Personally I reckon they'd be the same as the std RSV and as such would be worth a gamble at that, but please don't come looking for revenge if there not the same!

Yes - same.

(geometry is the sameat any rate - I've found that there are some triangles that are made of 4mm thick steel and others that are of 6mm thick aluminium - not sure whether they correlate with RSV & RSVR - but it doesn't matter a they are the same shape in any case)
