The first round is on me!

#1 Post by Viking » Fri Oct 03, 2014 7:59 am

Hey all,

I am no officially unemployed. After 16 years of service to my employer, our group has been "restructured" and my off-sider and I have been made redundant.

I've spent today saying goodbye to all the people I've worked with, and generally feeling very HappySad about the whole thing.

So, the first round is on me!

Cheers!!
It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.

comisegratulations mate.

I'll have a CC and dry as this will be my staple diet for this long weekend.

Hope something good pops up sooner rather than later.

Hope you got a big fat payout and another job comes straight along so you can enjoy the payout.

Enjoy the break from the daily grind - but hope something good comes along too.
I'll raise a glass to you (as long as it's not a pint of VB)

Been at my place just a few months short of 20yrs and wish they'd make me redundant.

Happysad? More of which?

Anyway, I'll drink to that!

good luck m8

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

FFS 16 years I've just been laid off for the 3rd time in just over a year ... Del more like a social misfit than ever ! I really want a sherry and coke .. Right now don't care what kind of coke as long as someone else is paying
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

Thanks for the good wishes everyone.

Yes, I did get a stonking big pay-out. I still haven't decided what I want to do with my life - a career change is very tempting.

Something will come up soon enough, and I can get back on the treadmill.
