Benders!( of the beam type.)

Will be riding in Holland soon, does anyone know if I need to add any tape to my headlight to stop dazzling oncoming traffic? :smt017

Depends on your headlight. My bike was sold as a UK bike but had an eu light, got swapped under warranty and now has a flat beam

There were some pics on here about this, showing how to tell which light you've got. Or you could just park in front a wall and take a look I guess

I've used a euro headlight on mine for 10 years and never even had advisory on the MOT, so I can't see anybody noticing over there!
Bikes always tend to dazzle a bit more than cars, due longer suspension movement, during accelleration and braking, so plod seem not to bother.
If it worries you Nick, just tape up the relative bit of the lens and it's perfectly legal.
Andy did a tech thread some time ago, to show exactly where to fit the tape.

Whereabouts are you going in Holland, it's a great place and very friendly.

Thanks for the info and link. I remember Jay having a look and it is a GB headlight. Have just checked in the garage and the beam was definitely going up to the left so I've played around and fitted some tape to flatten it.
Howard we're going to Assen for the british superbike round and we're staying somewhere called Zwiggelte its about 10km south of the TT circuit on the side of the oranjekanaal. We'll be going straight there on the quickest roads but have booked an extra night stay so will have a different trip back to the ferry. Someone mentioned that Gouda is quite a nice place to visit but if you've any suggestions Howard that would be great. :smt023

I've done quite a bit of euro biking on UK headlights and never had a problem or even been flashed by oncoming traffic.

Thats possibly something to do with the fact that your headlight is usually pointing straight at the moon for 90% of the time. :smt002
