ok, i have everything ready to go to do the swing arm swop over, and have all the tools bar one
to undo the swingarm nut - what exactly do I need?
a specific link would be a great help for me :)
secondly - am thinking of fitting a new chain and sprockets to the falco when i do this - was tempted to keep the old set but....
exactly what would be the best option tooth wise - and again a link would be great - am looking at ordering on monday for next day delivery - ie, do the swop over on tuesday :)

To undo the nut, you need a Shimano BMX Freewheel remover:Aladinsaneuk wrote:ok, i have everything ready to go to do the swing arm swop over, and have all the tools bar one

I bought mine from Halfords .... still not got the swinger ready to fit though!
You'll need more than one link for a whole chain .......Aladinsaneuk wrote: secondly - am thinking of fitting a new chain and sprockets to the falco when i do this - was tempted to keep the old set but....

I like 16/43 for teeth. It's a tad longer than putting a 15t on the front, which I had for a while but found just a bit too short. 16/43 seems just about right to me.

Pete - I made my own tool from a big old socket. Used an angle grinder to cut it. It's not perfect but it did the job. I'll be at Snetterton tomorrow (sunday) and could bring it if you're going.
As for gearing - I adore the feel with a 15t front. Seems to put all the grunt right where I like it and makes it easier round town. 30mph at 4000rpm in some gear or other?? Can't imagine I'll ever miss the extra couple of mph at top speed
