Brilliant Tour for Macmillan

#1 Post by FalcoPete » Sat Jun 28, 2014 9:15 pm

Signed up for the Sunset 2 Sunrise tour for Macmillan on 21-22-Jun & had a brilliant time. Raised almost £2,000. 125 riders organised with marshals groups riding through the night from Holyhead on the west cost to a sunrise at Skegness on the east cost, after 257 miles, is a real adventure!!! (have a look on their FB page)

Highly recommend it - did 800+ in the round trip from home & a bit frayed around the edges for a couple of days as I'm recovering from cancer personally. It's a regular event each year.

The crowd are brilliant & there's a real bond when bikers come together for such a worthwhile cause & we were greeted by the Lord Mayor at 4.20 am too!!! 'Falco Frank' joined in too & we became friends on the way up to the start - cheers, Frank :smt002

You can sign up for S2S 2015 from 01-Jan-2015 cost is only £15.

Well done Pete & Frank - a tremendous job.
Sorry that I couldn't join you - but just as well I dropped out earlier as it transpired I just couldn't have joined you anyway on that weekend

Very well done

WE NEED AN APRILIA 'POD' FOR 2015 :smt003

I vote we ride it the other way, from Skeg so we can 'recover' in Wales :smt023
