I'm sure with the prices they charge, and the facilities they provide, they could pay the riders a little more.

I'd like the money Rossi gets $1mill for a win plus his contract which must be at least £10 mill a season ( He was paid for the following season after he won the premier class the 1st time £5 mill).
The rest don't count (no not even Stoner yet).

The clip showing Barros jumping over his burning bike as it came to sweep him up at first corner of the WSBK at Silverstone last year happened right in front of me.
There were some truly frightening incidents in that series of clips!
