I was thinking of trying with a gel insert, Must be getting old, or older.

Two things, if I were you I would by an old seat off e-bay and use that one so you don't bugger your original up and also I tried a gel pad and it was useless, wasted nearly £50 on one and it did not good at all.

In the end I went down the Sargent seat route and it was the perfect solution.

I've looked at them on ebay Maz as my original seat cover is wearing out. Not done anything about it though.

I don't think it's much different in cost to what Old Git and Furiganman paid to have theirs professionally recovered.

Not sure what your intended cover is made of but leather is not waterproof and becomes polished with use, shiney and bloody slippery

HI, thanks for the advice. The sargent seats look good but may be a little steep for my pocket at the moment. Will have a look into re-cover with a little extra padding.
