Milie steering damper dimensions?
I've had a universal steering damper lying round the garage for a while but when I tried to line it up on the falco it seems to be to long.
I can get round the hardware issues as I can just make the bits but I need to know how long the steering dampers are that folks are fitting to falcos?
I'm assuming that is I'm trying to fit it in the right place?
There's a lug on the right side lower triple tree and one under the clock bracket, is that correct?

You are right on the mounting points, I also have a univesral damper waiting to fit.
It is 258mm total length,or 10 & 3/8 inches.
Yes it does fit a Falc ! I will need to get some pillar type bolts made to suit, the damper rose joints are 8mm, the mountings are M6.
I will be sorting this when it stops raining, will be happy to let you know what needs making ect
Edit
If my memory serves ect...you dont have much more room than 275mm or 10 & 3/4 inches but please verify fer yerself

Cleverly disguised as an adult !
If you look here I took some pic of fitting my one. Would you like me to take the tape to it and see how long it is?

I assume by pillar type bolts you mean shoulder bolts? I bet they will be a standard size (cheaper for manufacture)
Check out this data sheet and see if it's on there, you can buy them from all over the place

Thanks it was a fair amount of work and a lot of gambling, I knew the rough size of a 916 ducati but wasn't sure how well the fairings would fit the frame of the VFR, there's still a lot of bits that I want to change but the majority of the conversion worked quite well but little things like the side panels need to be redesigned!
All in all it's been a great project, underneath the bike is great it's had lots of work done in the cycle parts division including full brake rebuilds front and back with brand new pistons etc!
The headlights are rediculasely bright and even on low beam are probaly too much but I've installed LED running lights that Light up the V section!
