Wondered why the bike was running away from me a bit when rolling of, and why it was revving when pulling up at the lights. Found that the throttle was sticking on, and not returning at all, raised a few eye-brows when pulling up on the petrol forecourt.
So, I proceeded to chase the cables round the headstock, under the tank, took the Baglux cover (that I'd just refitted) off to make sure the straps weren't fouling anything, , lifted the tank to get a better look but couldn't really see anything, so was thinking that the cables must be sticking.
Then noticed the throttle grip looked a bit tight against the bar end. 20 seconds later, it was moved back into position, and the previously loose bar clamp was tightened to stop it moving again. Then came the next 20 minutes to get the tank back down and bolted up (what with the holes not lining up) and the tank cover and seat back on.
Moral - why take 40 minutes to check everything, when the answer is simple and takes less than a minute?
