Wish supermarkets had express lanes for 'non christmas shoppers'.
Total wind up having to que for 40 mins for only coffee, milk, dog and catfood.
Should be able to register for a Non Panic Buying badge !
Rant over,so
Wishing you all a nice peaceful time in whatever way you celebrate this mid winter.

Can't blame them for panic buying; after all, the supermarkets will be closed for perhaps a whole day

Most supermarkets have a special checkout for 'less than 10 items' - but you have to be really intelligent to sus that out, like, er, female?

ha ha BG, even with a man look I had noticed them, Im an ardent user of self checkouts because they are usually quicker, but...
my nearest Morristhingamyandsons had a queue from front to back of store, meaning an hour wait for 5 items.
I also needed fags but the manager would not let me pay for the other 4 items at the fag shop ?

Tesco scan as you shop .....
No pissing around
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Certainly not - most supermarkets have customer toilets.

Well, had been dreading the essential food shop, getting caught up in the mindless herds, the urge to kill them all ect, so put it off till the last moment,
after work today..supermarket almost empty and full of reduced bargains

I've seen lots of posts about supermarkets being rammed to capacity over the last few days, but not a single one about local shops being too full.. This to me is a great shame. I try to shop with the local stores as much as poss, but there are some things that they lack on. However, the basic provisions that people seem to be buying by the trolley load are readily available at the local corner shop.
Meh.. Mini rant I suppose..

Nearest local shops to here are happily bursting, but on the other side of town they have been forced out of buisness by Tesco and sainsbastards

I did all my shopping this year at local shops - including Sainsburys and Co-op but they are small ones in our small town. The Spar store round the corner is amazing though!
