I ordered some boots from these shysters at the beginning of the month; delivery time was stated to be 2 - 3 working days. Payment was taken 3 days after ordering. No delivery after 5 working days. E-mailed them, asking when I could expect delivery - the reply was by the end of the week (yesterday). Still no boots. Phone calls go straight to an answerphone.
A little googling produced confirmation of what I'd feared; they have a long record of ripping people off. http://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/www.davronline.co.uk
At the recommendation of my local Trading Standards Dept. & CAB, I've drafted a letter demanding a refund if I don't receive my order within a week, which will be sent by recorded delivery if, as expected, they don't reply convincingly to my most recent e-mail. After that, Small Claims Court.
BTW, if anyone here is in the vicinity of Hove, perhaps you could give them a poke with a sharp stick for me

And be warned - you can get a result in your favour at the Small Claims Court but that doesn't necessarily get your money back! If they fail to pay (and they very likely will) the court bailiffs will try to collect twice, but after that it's down to you to employ private bailiffs, unless you take it to the high court!
(Mike used to be a self employed bailiff and I used to help out).

The tragedy of old age is not that one is old, but that one is young.

I went down this route once when I tried to buy an oddball monitor off a company. I eventually got all my money and out of pocket costs back but it got to the private bailiff stage. The bill had more or less doubled.BikerGran wrote:And be warned - you can get a result in your favour at the Small Claims Court but that doesn't necessarily get your money back! Where ever I lay my hat.....
Well I never
The boots arrived this week.
I'd like to think my threatening emails and letter had some part to play in this. In reality, the supplier is probably just painfully slow and uncommunicative.
