Having more trouble starting
I haven't ridden the bike for nearly two weeks and now it just won't start. I put the fast idle on full and it just phuts away not firing, I've tried everything short of using the full throttle trick as the last time I did it the bike really didn't like it banging and popping all over the place and smoke coming up from under the exhaust/engine area! Is there anything else I can try as I'm desperate to get the bike running. Many thanks in advance for any help you can give.
Regular maintenance is the key to reliability, irregular maintenance is the key to much exercise!

Been there, done that, getting bike to fire with random throttle openings.
Managed to make neighbours think they had woken up in a Syrian suburb with the noise.
Cured by sorting idle stop adjustment, took 45 mins, worth the time for the result, get brave, lift the tank and know she will start
