apologies to Lazarus and all...

#1 Post by robbier6 » Tue Dec 10, 2013 5:05 pm

Big slice of humble pie being consumed as we speak,
i'd like to apologise to all on here for my out burst, in hindsight and upon reflection i over re-acted but what i stand by is true, there are people here that are probably more deserving of an individuals time and money, let the governments and big corporations pay for africa.
I'm in the bar buying all a drink as a way of apology :smt010

We all push the boundaries further than we should at times but the apologies and realisations of what keep us together as a group normally sort that out.

Thanks for standing us all a drink on this one :smt001

We must've been chatting too much about work and not paying attention mate, as I too am none the wiser.

However.. Good to see maturity in this place for a change. :smt003

Havent been on for a few days so when I saw your post title I had to go hunting to see if there was something I should feel all hurt and upset about. There wasnt - so no need to apologise.

Indeed if anyone should apologise , maybe it should be me to TC who was the innocent trigger for me to voice strong views. And as BG has pointed out I'm not exactly consistent since I spend money on a boat . In my defence I would explain that we dont usually take any normal type paid holidays but just use the boat so it does represent a saving in that sense rather than a cost. Oddly enough it has in the past been an investment of sorts too returning more cash when sold than it cost but I doubt that will happen in this recession.

In the end, these decisions are value judgements as BG points out. I wont comment about the value of a cat :smt018 but I do think that 10k on a wedding was simply a case of conspicuous consumption and a total nonsense. I'm safe doing that I hope - my wife doesnt see the forum.

No need to apologise what so ever. At the end of the day we all have our own personal views, and one of the best things about RS compared with some other forums is that 99.9% of us are mature enough to have an opinion, discuss it like sensible adults and no offence is taken.

If we all agreed with each other all the time it would be a boring world, and if we did not have our own personal views or opinions, then we would stagnate.

So rest assured, no offence was inferred, implied or taken on my part, so no need for any apology.

I actually thought it developed into quite an interesting debate :smt001

Speaking as one of them - the admins

This forum is pretty cool to moderate - we rarely have to take action of any kind

Folk here are cool - healthy debates etc

Long may it continue

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...
