Today my wife and I ran our annual Pink Party in support of Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
I've just totted up what we've raised at this year's event so far - just over £1,300.
We're knackered so drinks are in order for all !
We're feeling that we need to shake things up a bit for next year so we're now considering what we might do instead of a pink party .... I have the beginnings of a plan ........
Still that's for another day - for today please raise a glass to the eventual banishing cancer to history.
One day it IS going to happen.

Well done!

I do hope you are planning a good charity ride for us all to do....
5 day tour .... No cars, just bikes....
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

My current thoughts do involve the bike for transportation - though if this comes about it'll probably be on my own but maybe with others who wish to do so joining me on some stretches.
How many of you are willing to paint your bikes pink?
The method of transportation is not the main objective of the challenge though.
I'll explain more in due course IF my ideas come together .... they are a bit ambitious and may end up having to be cut back a bit ........
Don't expect an update for some time yet !

use wraps
am fairly certain some one would donate the plastic wraps for free as they would get the publicity etc for it

That's a substantial sum. Well done.
A Pink Ball for next year? Or maybe pink balls are just too common.

Just a little update .... Joy had a call the other day from Breakthrough to say a special thanks. We might not have raised quite as much as we did in the previous 2 years but our total this year was apparently their 3rd highest in the country - beaten only by a school and another person.
Of course the really important stuff is what their researchers manage to do with the funding to find cures - they've got some great work being done by some exceptional people.
