#1 Post by D-Rider » Fri Oct 11, 2013 5:19 pm

I get the feeling that many Ridersite members will empathise with this ......

...and for that reason I want to be cremated along with my Falco (hope they have a reinforced ceiling at my friendly neighbourhood Crem!) :smt002

The kids will be having mine.. Don't worry, they'll be educated in the ways of decoy and avoid when it comes to spitting out how much things actually cost. :smt003
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

My Mrs brought my last 2 new bikes, so she knows exactly how much they cost :smt003

In my case it seems to have been 'Me or that bloody bike' or they have fully understood the understandable love for an inanimate object, begrudgingly accepted the reverance !
I fully understand your fear though !

.... not my fear ..... it's fairly clear that unless I pile my bike into a brick wall, I'll be outlasting my wife anyway.

Enjoy every day mate

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Hmm. Reminds me of a joke. Wrong forum but relevant.

The wife and I were sitting around the breakfast table one lazy Sunday morning.
I said to her, "If I were to die suddenly, I want you to immediately sell all my stuff."
"Now why would you want me to do something like that?" she asked.
"I figure that you would eventually remarry and I don't want some other wanker using my stuff."

She looked at me and said: "What makes you think I'd marry another wanker?"

My fear is that by the time my wife remembers that I had a bike, it will be ready to be classified as a barn find so worth very little. She is completely disinterested in bikes and they all look alike to her so if some geezer offered her £50 to clear the garage, she'd probably snap his hand off.

Bit like me with Mike's stamp collection and railway layout!

He keeps telling me what I should do with them when he goes and I keep telling him to write it down!

I've just compounded the problem. Bought a Yamaha XT660R this afternoon to keep No. 1 bike company. To her credit, my wife was perfectly fine about it. Even offered to drive me when I'm due to collect it. :smt001

you do realise that you have just bought a new kitchen or bathroom??

and you know damn well this will be stored away in the feminine database to be used at an undisclosed date in the future....

You may be right Pete, but I think her recent emphatic refusal to allow me to adopt a dog probably softened her reaction to the second bike.
Anyway, it's not that long since I did the kitchen and bathroom! :smt002
