Wanted: Standard license plate light

#1 Post by Firestarter » Sat Aug 10, 2013 9:23 pm

Anyone got a standard license plate light to fit a Falco to sell? Bolts sheared when taking it off to fit the new tail tidy

Thanks in advance

Use the led bolt bulbs

But

It's not a requirement for mot - iirc if fitted it must work

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

90% sure that I've got one.

Did they shear completely off? Mine sheared half way but there was still enough to get a nyloc on

Nope, one probably could get a couple of threads picked up, but the other is too short to stick through the tidy. Typically, they're moulded into the plastic, too much faff to dig them out and replace them

Had a look at the bolt lights, not overly keen on them. Although it's plasticky, the stock one is fairly unobstrusive, saw some Motrax efforts but £15 is a bit much for some plastic and leds.

Andy, let me know what you want for the one you've (maybe) got, no rush, quite happy to run without for a while, but will fit one - one less thing for some picky copper to use as an "excuse" to pull you over

Sorry - had to visit my mum today so not had a chance to look. I'll try to remember to have a look tomorrow - if I forget give me a nudge.

I might have bits of one, can't remember what I did to it when I took it off. I'll have a look tomorrow.

Got one. It's scruffy but usable. Threads are rusty as hell but intact. Bulb holder is toast though.
PM me an address and you can have it.

Posted it yesterday evening should be with you tomorrow with a bit of luck.
Got a dirty look from the postwoman when I walked up to the counter and whipped my packet out of my leathers.
